One Bag
zero waste

Mission:
Transitioning to a circular economy
This initiative is an exercise in demonstrating how a circular economy is crucial to the protection of the environment while bringing communities together. We worked with Wilberforce School and Queens Park Primary School in West London to design a recyclable carrier bag made from rPET (a type of recycled plastic). This was a great opportunity to educate pupils about the mechanics and economics of plastic recycling, and how to design a product with circularity in mind. The design had to maximise longevity and have the flexibility to be made into other resources after it fulfills its purpose. Winning designs were chosen by a panel of judges, chaired by Queens Park Community Council. This project was backed by DEFRA when it was introduced.
